New Youth-Driven PAC Supporting Global Aid Endorses Jason Landau Goodman for State Representative in Pennsylvania

Penn Valley, Pa. — The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL), a political action committee fighting to strengthen U.S. global aid, has endorsed Democratic State Representative candidate Jason Landau Goodman in his candidacy to represent the 148th House District in Pennsylvania.

The Alliance was founded by Asher Moss following the destruction of the U.S. Agency for International Development. The organization says it now has more than 1,000 campaign volunteers nationwide, including a significant presence in southeastern Pennsylvania.

“We are the political force that will restore global aid.” Asher Moss, Executive Director of the Alliance said. “We believe America should be a humanitarian leader on the world stage. A force for good.”

In accepting the A4AL’s endorsement, Landau Goodman emphasized the importance of global aid to both regional and global stability.

“American leadership is vital to save lives around the world and to ensure a prosperous global economy. The current federal government’s elimination of USAID, and erosion of critical foreign programs that invest in building economic opportunity, ending poverty, combating pandemics when they arise, and saving lives impacted by HIV/AIDS, all result in tragic deaths and suffering and make Americans less safe. America’s historic export of aid allows us to import global stability. We need leadership at all levels of government — including state legislatures — to lead on sustaining a culture of global security through humanitarian programs.”

Over the past two decades, USAID has saved more than 90 million lives through famine relief, disease prevention, and other lifesaving interventions. Yet, USAID accounted for just one cent of every three federal dollars, delivering extraordinary impact at a vanishingly small cost to taxpayers. China is increasing their foreign aid — threatening to take America’s position as the world’s leading power. Landau Goodman understands the interconnectedness of state government with global prosperity and security, and believes the federal government should restore USAID and increase spending on aid programs.
